At the end you will present on one of the terms you chose to the class.
You may work in pairs.

Purpose:
- To learn about terms of global social issues as they apply to our world.
- To learn to identify social, political, and moral injustices after understanding term definitions and examples
- To understand the impacts of social injustice on our society (local and global)
- Racism (we will do this together for the first project)
- Segregation (South Africa, Jim Crow laws in America, others)
- Assimilation and acculturation
- Discrimination
- Integration
- Pluralism
- Canadian Residential Schools
- Apartheid (South Africa)
- Holocaust (Germany)
- Caste system (India, others)
- Unequal distribution of wealth
- Women’s rights
- Education (of females)
- Gender Equity
- Treatment of Indigenous Peoples (Australia, Canada, America, others)
- Create a presentation of your choosing: a video, PPT, report, website page, animation
- Define the term
- Give an example of the term
- Explain how the term affects our society
- Give your opinion as to why this is good or bad/right or wrong
